What the training covers
A walkthrough of the new Reporting experience: what's changed, where to find things, and what the updated metric names mean for your day-to-day reporting. It wraps up with live Q&A.

Real questions from real attendees across our live sessions, grouped by topic.
Legacy reports and what's next
How long will the legacy reports be around?
There's no hard cutoff today. Your legacy reports stay available, and we'll give you advance notice before anything changes. Use this time to get comfortable in the new experience so you're ready when that day comes.
Boulevard built a custom report for me. What happens to it?
Your existing templates stay available in the legacy reporting experience. Our team is working on the best path forward for customers with templates built by our Professional Services team, and we don't have a timeline to share yet.
Can I customize reports? Can I build one from scratch?
You can customize the existing reports: add columns, filters, grouping, and sorting, then save your changes as a view. Building a report completely from scratch isn't available right now, but we've shared that feedback with our Product team.
What improvements are coming?
We don't have specific upcoming changes to share today. We track every request that comes in through calls, chat, and sessions like these, and our Product team reviews them continuously. Have an idea? Tell our Support team through Help Chat.
Views and dashboards
Can I save my report customizations?
On reports, yes. Save a view with your customizations and jump back to it anytime without re-applying your settings. Dashboards work differently: filters don't save, so you'll apply them each time.
Can I share saved views with my team?
Yes. When you save a view, choose Business view instead of Private view and add a short description. It shows up in the Views tab and in the view switcher on that report, for anyone with access to the report. More in Views.
Can I organize my views into folders?
Not at this time. We've shared the request with our Product team.
Can I customize the dashboards?
Not at this time. Use filters to zero in on the data you need, like specific payment methods on the Sales Summary dashboard.
My front desk team shows 0% utilization. How do I leave them out?
Filter the Business Summary dashboard by Staff Name to exclude team members who don't perform services. We've also passed along the feedback that utilization should only include service providers.
Exporting, sorting, and printing
What's the best way to print a report, like commission line items for payroll?
Export to PDF. It's the best view for printing. If columns get cut off, reach out to our Support team through Help Chat with the report name, and we'll take a look.
Will my export match how I set up my report?
Yes. Once you've customized the report, your export uses the settings you applied, including your sorting.
Can I email a report to my team?
Yes. Export the report, then email the file to whoever needs it, time cards included.
Can I view and export one staff member at a time?
Yes. Filter the report to that staff member and export. Need this for several people? Duplicate the report and change the staff filter on each copy.
Can I sort or filter by last name?
Depending on the report, yes. Add the filter you want (like Last Name), then select a column title to sort by it. Sorting staff by last name by default, which is handy for payroll, isn't on our roadmap yet, but we've passed the request to our Product team.
Finding the right report
I can't find totals in the time clock reports. Where are they?
The Time Card Entries Report shows individual clock-in and clock-out records instead of pre-built totals. Group it by Staff Name (and Location Name if you have more than one location), add Hours Clocked as a column, and each person's entries roll up into a total for the period. Save it as a view so you only set it up once.
How do I see overtime hours?
Add the Overtime Hours column to the Staff Attendance Summary Report, next to Hours Clocked, to track overtime by staff member and date.
How do I print a daily schedule by provider?
In the Schedule Detail Report, group by Staff Name and sort by Start Time, with Schedule Date and Location as filters. This report doesn't include a blank notes column like the old printed sheet, so if notes are part of your workflow, add one after exporting to Excel or PDF.
Where do I find tips?
The Staff Performance report includes appointment gross, discounts, net, and tips. For tip line items, use the Commission Line Items Report and export it to PDF.
Where do I find total sales and tax collected?
The Daily Summary Report rolls up sales, refunds, and discounts across everything you sell (services, retail, memberships, packages, gift cards, and account credit) by location and order date. Need just tax? Filter the report to show only the tax column. For a quick high-level view, the Net Amount widget on the Business Summary dashboard shows the same metrics.
How do I match my reports to what hits my bank account?
Add the Transaction Fees column to the Order Payments Report, plus Offset Fees collected if you use Offset. There's also a Transaction Amount Less Fees column. For deposit totals, use Payout Reconciliation in your Payments tab. Here's how: Understanding Payout Reconciliation Reporting.
Is there a report for profit after taxes, fees, and payroll?
Not a single one. Boulevard's reports cover sales, payments, and labor separately. Use the Daily Summary for sales and tax, the Order Payments Report for processing fees, and the Staff Attendance or Time Card reports for labor. Then combine them outside Boulevard for your full profit picture.
How do I find unused packages and account credits?
Use the Account Credit Balance Report for account credits and the Voucher Balance Report for packages.
Can I run a report on incomplete charts?
There isn't a standard report for this today, because chart and form data isn't structured to support a cross-patient status report. On a client profile, the Forms & Charts tab lets you filter by status (Not Started, In Progress, Needs Review) to see what's outstanding, and the sign-off feature can help flag charts that still need review.
My inventory report is showing zeros or wrong costs. What's going on?
Usually, a step got skipped in the inventory workflow. Check that inventory tracking is on for your products, that purchase orders are created and fully completed, and that inventory has been received. Details: Product Inventory Activity Report and Product Inventory On Hand Report.
Do my service providers see the same reports I do?
What providers see, and which reports they can open, depends on the Reporting Permissions assigned to their role. See Reporting Permissions.
My new report doesn't match my legacy report. Which one is right?
Best to look at this together. Reach out to our Support team through Help Chat with the report name and what you're seeing, and they'll dig into the details with you.
