Staff Attendance Summary Report |
Overview
The Staff Attendance Summary report helps you get a full picture of your team's scheduling, hours worked, and timecard activity across locations. It brings scheduled hours, clocked hours, blocked time, and utilization together in one place, so you can see attendance and productivity side by side rather than checking each separately.
Use this report to compare scheduled versus clocked hours for adherence tracking, monitor utilization to see how effectively scheduled time converts into booked appointments, and reconcile hours for payroll and compliance purposes. It's especially useful for shift planning and performance evaluation, since you can review blocked hours, overtime, and attendance patterns together to spot scheduling imbalances or recurring reliability issues.
Note: This report only includes staff members who have a scheduled shift during the selected period — staff without scheduled hours won't appear at all, even if they worked. Hours Clocked also requires active timecard usage: staff who don't clock in and out show blank or zero clocked hours regardless of whether they actually worked, so adherence comparisons are only meaningful at locations actively using timecards. See the Report Caveats section below for how blocked hours and overlapping appointments are calculated.

Report Caveats
There are a few important caveats and limitations to be aware of when using this report. Use these details to better understand how the data behaves and how to interpret it correctly.
Caveats | Details and Impact |
Only scheduled staff appear | This report is built on the staff schedule dataset. Only staff members with a scheduled shift during the selected period will appear. Staff without scheduled hours will not be included in the report. |
Blocked hours only counted when overlapping shifts | Blocked time is only considered when it overlaps with a scheduled shift. Time blocks outside of scheduled working hours are not included in calculations. |
Overlapping appointments counted once | When multiple appointments overlap within the same time window, the overlapping duration is counted only once toward booked hours to avoid double counting. |
Clocked hours require timecard usage | Staff who do not clock in and out show blank or zero clocked hours regardless of whether they worked. Adherence comparisons are only meaningful at locations actively using timecards. |
