Overview

The Boulevard Professional App is available in the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad and Google Play for Android. The app allows service providers to quickly manage appointments and client contact information on the go. iPhone and iPad users can also check out clients.

Boulevard Professional is designed to complement, not replace, the main Boulevard desktop version. All changes or additions done on the app will instantly be updated on the main Boulevard dashboard.

Minimum Operating System (OS) requirements for smartphones and tablets:

  • Android 6 or above

  • iOS 15.5 or above

Settings

Individual settings are accessed by the settings logo at the bottom right of the screen. Available settings include:

Viewing Appointments

  • Schedule view: To change the view of the calendar, select the date at the top of the calendar. The calendar can be viewed as a single day, 3 days, and a week.

  • Date picker: To select a new date on the calendar, select the date at the top of the calendar. You can swipe through or select the arrows to select a new month. If you want to quickly jump back to today’s date, select the “Today” button. When selecting multiple staff, you can only view a single day. If selecting a single staff member, you can view either a single day, 3 days, and week view.

  • Staff filter: To view the staff, select the filter icon on the top left side of the screen. If you perform services, it will be defaulted to “me.” If you do not perform services, it will be defaulted to “is working.” You also have the option to view 'everyone'. You can select and deselect staff members and staff roles. Staff will be listed by their first and last name.

    You can also search for a staff member by their name. When you select a staff member, you can search for another staff member and add them to your search filter.

Editing Appointments

  1. Tap any appointment to open up its specific details.

  2. Tap Edit.

  3. Tap on whatever you would like to change.

  4. Make the change and then tap the back arrow <.

  5. Tap Save to lock in the changes.

Adding Appointments

To add a new appointment:

  1. Tap and hold on to the screen, then click New Appointment.

  2. Or click the + button at the bottom left, then New Appointment.

  3. Select the client and enter the appointment details.

  4. Click Save when finished to complete the appointment creation.

Adding Time Blocks

To add a new time block:

  1. Tap and hold on the screen OR click the + button at the bottom left of the screen.

  2. Click Block time.

  3. Add a reason for the time block (recommended).

  4. Choose the start date, time, and duration.

  5. Click Save to add the time blocker.

Editing and Removing Time Blocks

  1. Find and tap the time block.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Adjust the date, time, or duration and click Save.

  4. Or click Remove Blocked Time to completely delete it.

Client Profiles

Within the Boulevard Professional App, you can view and update client contact information, and also easily call, text, or email clients. You can also take a photo and upload it directly into the Client Profile (to add a photo in notes, you must enter text into the text box first before the box pops up to "attach image" to that note). Click the profile icon at the bottom middle of the screen to begin searching for and selecting a client.

NOTE: SMS text messages and emails that are sent through the app show as being sent from the personal mobile number and personal email of the sender.

Staff Performance Metrics

If given access (via privilege group settings), your employees are able to see an overview of their performance for any given date range by clicking the graph icon at the bottom of the screen.

The totals shown in this area are total, gross, and sales (so the numbers are not taking the staff members' commission into account in this data). They can see their total appointments, clients, utilization, prebooked %, and service/product/gratuity sales.

These metrics refresh at the same frequency that beta reports refresh (currently not instant, but every ~2 hours).

Landscape mode (Tablet only)

NOTE: The Professional App can viewed in landscape view on an iPad only.

You must have the rotation lock button disabled on your iPad (see Apple support).

Updating the Professional App

To update your app (often recommended if you're having issues!) head to the app store listing page for your device, and select "update."

To update iPhones and iPad apps, head to the Apple App Store.

To update Android devices, head to the Google Play Store.
