Overview

Boulevard offers a 2-way calendar sync with personal calendars. Users who sync their personal calendars to their Boulevard profiles benefit from the automatic blocking off of events from other calendars. Once an event is created in a synced calendar, that same time block automatically is blocked off as a Personal block on the synced Boulevard calendar. Clients are not able to book an appointment during blocked-off times. Blocked-off events can remain private; clients only see that they cannot book an appointment during those times.

Syncing limitations:

  • Only 2 months of appointments sync with your personal calendar.

  • All events must be edited from the calendar they were created in.

  • Please note that iCal can be set to auto-refresh every 5 minutes, whereas Google Calendar and Outlook only refresh and update once a day. The initial/first-time calendar sync can take up to 48 hours to reflect on your personal calendar.

  • Recurring events created on your personal calendar are not supported by the integration and may not sync.

Importing a Personal Calendar into Boulevard

Step 1: Sync External Calendar to Boulevard

From the dropdown menu on the top right of your screen, go to My Settings > Calendar Integrations > Import External Calendars. Here you find fields to name your calendar and input its individual URL link. See the instructions below to find the URL for Google and iCloud calendars.

  5. Once you have that URL link, copy and paste it back into your Dashboard. You have the option to make the event titles visible or private. If you choose to not show event titles, events just say 'Blocked'.

  1. Sign in.

  2. Click the sharing icon next to the calendar you wish to share. Please note that the sync only works with iCloud calendars.

  3. Click Public Calendar > Copy Link.

  4. Paste that link into your Boulevard account.
