Overview

The Staff Performance beta report provides detailed performance metrics by staff. This report includes a breakdown of staff services performed, product and service sales, and client counts.

General Reporting Terms

Utilization

Utilization

Utilization is Hours Booked divided by [Hours Scheduled minus Business Blocked Hours].

In Beta Reports, this is represented by a %.

Appointments

Pre-booked Appointment

An appointment is considered a pre-booked appointment when it is booked the same day of service including appointments booked online, using the ‘pre-book’ button during checkout, or booked manually through the dashboard.

We represent this metric as a Count or % in Beta Reports.

Note: This does not include appointments that have been booked prior to completing the scheduled appointment.

Self-Booked Appointment

An appointment is considered self-booked when it is booked online by the client rather than the staff.

We represent this as a Count or % in Beta Reports.

Appointment vs. Service

An appointment is the block of time on the schedule for a scheduled service(s), and a service is the offerings completed by staff members.

In Beta Reports, these are represented in columns such as Appointment Count and Service Count.

Requested vs Non-Requested

An appointment is considered requested when a client asks to have a specific staff member for their appointment service. If no staff member is requested, this is considered a non-requested service.

In Beta Reports, this is shown in columns such as Returning Client Count - Requested and Non-Requested.

Note: Within an appointment, multiple services can contain Non-Requested and Requested services. This can affect how your data is displayed.

Clients

Client Count

When we use Client Counts in reporting, this is seen in a Unique sense. Examples of this include:

Order Client Count: Number of individual clients with at least one order.

Service Client Count: Number of unique clients with at least one scheduled service.

New Client Count: Total count of clients who have completed a single appointment with the location.

Returning Client Count: Total count of clients who have completed more than a single appointment with the location.

Note: Depending on the date range selected, a client can be both counted in the New Client Count or Returning Client Count.

Sales

Net vs. Gross

Within Beta Reports, we consider the listed price of the service prior to any discounts to be displayed as a Gross Sale.

The amount that the client pays at the end of the checkout process is what Boulevard considers to be the Net Sale.

This is shown in multiple columns such as Net Retail Product Sales or Gross Service Sales.

Note: Voucher Redemptions are considered a discount, and are removed from the Net Sales amount. To manually track revenue with Voucher Redemptions in your Net Sales totals, include the Redeemed Voucher Value column and manually add the two together.
