How to Import Text and Email Marketing Consent Using a Secure Link

If you’re switching to Boulevard and have already obtained your clients’ email and text marketing consent through a previous booking solution or third-party vendors like MailChimp or Constant Contact, you can easily import that consent information using our secure process. Having all your data in one place will save you time, money, and allow you to create more effective marketing campaigns using Boulevard Marketing!

Here’s how consent import works:

Step 1: Export Your Consent Data

Export a list of your clients' marketing consent data from your previous provider. This list should be in .csv format and include the following information:

  • Client Email Address

  • Client Email Opt-In Status (indicating whether they have opted in or not)

  • Client Phone Number

  • Client Text Opt-In Status (indicating whether they have opted in or not)

Helpful tip: The export process varies and depends on your email or text tool, but most offer some way to export data. Here are some helpful links from common text or email tools:

  • Mailchimp: View or Export Contacts

  • Klaviyo: How to export a list or segment to a CSV file

  • Constant Contact: Export your email or SMS contacts or lists into a spreadsheet

Step 2: Submit Your .CSV File

Once you’ve exported the data:

  1. Fill out our import form and upload your .csv file using the secure link provided.

  2. Important: We cannot import consent for people who are not clients in Boulevard, and only .csv files will be accepted.

Step 3: We Handle the Import

Once you've submitted the form, we will review and import the data into your dashboard. This process typically takes 1-2 business days.

We’ll notify you via this chat once the import is complete. After that, you’ll be all set to manage your clients' preferences and begin creating audiences and campaigns.
