Overview
The basic 2 day reminder text can now be customized in the following ways:
audience expansion (option to send to all clients vs only unconfirmed)
option to include link to manage appointment
option to include additional text content
Customizing the Basic Reminder Text Notification
Navigate to Manage Location > Client Notifications.
Select the basic reminder text under Reminders.
If you wish to send basic reminders to confirmed and unconfirmed clients, enable the confirmed clients box. Adding confirmed clients to the audience is a usage-based pricing feature. Click here for text messaging rates.
To add the manage appointment details link, click ‘include link to manage appointment’.
Add additional text in the Additional text field.
Click Save to complete.
Reminder Text Customization FAQ
Q: Is the basic 2 day reminder free if I do not add any customizations?
A: Yes, the basic 2 day reminder, with its default settings, is still free and does not require a dedicated phone number.
Q: Can I customize a basic 2 day reminder text without a dedicated business phone number?
A: No, customizing the basic 2 day reminder by way of audience selection, additional text content, or inclusion of appt details link requires the location must set up a dedicated phone number.
Q: Does the business pay for basic 2 day reminder text notifications if customizations are added?
A: Yes, if the basic 2 day reminder text is customized in any of the ways listed above, it becomes paid (standard segment-based usage costs). Click here for text and marketing usage rates.
Q: If the text is sent to confirmed clients, will they be prompted to confirm their appointment again?
A: No, unconfirmed clients will be asked to confirm their appointment and
confirmed clients will not be asked to confirm their appts again. For confirmed clients, the text will include the appointment reminder and any additional customizations including forms, manage appointment link, link to cancellation policy, and/or additional text.
