Overview

The detailed line item report itemizes every transaction or entry over a specific period. This report provides granular visibility into all financial activities, supporting you with a detailed analysis, auditing, and accurate financial management.

Note: As of August 1, all sales metrics (with the exception of Gross Sales below) include the value of vouchers that have been redeemed for services. If you use vouchers in your business, please see Vouchers as Payments: Before and After for more info and a breakdown of voucher value.

Default Metrics

Sale Date	Date of transaction
Location Name	Name of location
Client Name	Name of client
Staff Name	Name of staff
Service Name	Name of service
Product Name	Name of service
Sale Type	Indicating what type of sale occurred, whether it was a product, service, gift card, etc.
Gross Sales	Total price for each line item before discounts, offers, or refunds. This is shown for each service, retail product, package, new membership, gift card sale, and gratuity. Note: This is calculated using the service list price for services redeemed with vouchers.
Discount Amount	Sum of discount amount
Discount Name	Name of the discount being applied. This is either the name of an offer being used or the discount reason assigned at the time of the sale.
Net Sales	Total sales after adjustments, discounts, offers, voucher redemptions, and refunds are applied.
Net Service Sales	Total service sales after adjustments, discounts, offers, voucher redemptions, and refunds are applied. Note: This is calculated using voucher value for services redeemed with vouchers.
Sales Tax	Total sales tax amount
Line Item Type*	The type of line item. Include all values from Sale Type along with Membership and Package.
Membership Name*	Name of the membership for the line item
Membership State*	The state of the membership for the line item
Membership Reason*	The reason the state of the membership changes for the line item
Package Name*	The name of the package for the line item

Changes to Voucher Reporting

As of August 1, 2024, vouchers are changing from a type of discount to a payment method within Boulevard. The Detailed Line Item report is one of several reports reflecting this change. The chart below specifically details the differences in affected fields.
