Selling a Gift Card In Store with Duo

To add funds to a gift card via swipe, select the ‘+’ icon during Checkout to add a gift card to the transaction.

NOTE: An iPad must be connected to your Duo and computer in order to swipe your gift card.

The Duo iPad app instructs your client to swipe their empty gift card.

If you accidentally click swipe but want to enter the gift card number instead, simply select the ‘x’ icon and manually enter the gift card number.

Once you swipe the gift card, the gift card number automatically appears in the gift card number field.

NOTE: If it takes longer than 60 seconds to swipe the gift card, you receive the error below. This is similar to credit card swiping. Simply select the ‘+’ icon to swipe again.

Selling a Voucher with a Gift Card with a Duo

When you are selling a voucher associated with a gift card, the workflow is the same as selling a gift card. To associate the voucher to a gift card via swipe, select the ‘+’ icon during Checkout to add a gift card to the transaction.

Applying a Gift Card with a Duo

When you select “gift card” as your payment method, the Duo app instructs your client to swipe their gift card.

Once you swipe your gift card, the gift card number appears with the balance, the amount charged, and the remaining balance.

If you select swipe, but want to enter in the gift card number, simply select the ‘x’ icon, and manually enter the gift card number.
