Resource Performance Report |
Overview
The Resource Performance report helps you track how efficiently your rooms, chairs, and equipment are being used across the business. It shows available hours, booked hours, and utilization for every resource, alongside the service revenue and retail sales tied to appointments that used it.
Use this report to monitor resource utilization, compare how the same resource types perform across locations, and evaluate whether a high-value device like a laser is generating the revenue to justify it. It’s especially useful for understanding a resource’s retail halo and capacity planning, since you can break usage down by service category and staff member to see booking patterns and plan around demand.

Report Caveats
There are a few important caveats and limitations to be aware of when using this report. Use these details to better understand how the data behaves and how to interpret it correctly.
Caveats | Details and Impact |
Revenue attributed to multiple resources will not sum to report totals | When a service is performed using more than one resource, its full amount is attributed to each resource. The rows for each resource are individually correct, but adding rows together will exceed the true total. Report totals and any grouping that does not include Resource Name or Resource Category count each service line only once, so totals remain accurate. Do not sum resource rows manually to compute a business total; use the report total or the Order Line Items report instead. |
Associated Product amounts reflect order association, not resource usage | Retail products are not performed with a resource. Associated Product Sale Amount and Associated Product Net Amount include retail lines on the same order as an appointment that used the resource. This is an attach metric intended to show the retail halo of a device. If an order's appointments used more than one resource, the same retail line is attributed to each resource, with the same total-level deduplication described above. |
Client Count is distinct within each grouping and is not additive across rows | A client is counted once within each row of the result. The same client appears in multiple rows if they had appointments with multiple resources or at multiple locations, while report totals count each client once. Adding Client Count across rows will overstate unique clients. |
Utilization % depends on tracked availability | Utilization % is Hours Booked divided by Hours Available. Resources without availability schedules configured will show no available hours, making Utilization % blank or misleading. Confirm resource schedules are set up before relying on utilization figures. |
