How to ensure allergy and medication history are considered when prescribing new medications in ScriptSure

You can collect client allergy and current medications information via form and chart connected fields. When submitted, their responses surface on the clinical tab of the client profile.

(For non-clinical businesses, this information flows to the client notes on the Overview tab of the client profile).

Below is an overview of how to input the allergy and medication information into ePrescribe so they are considered in safety checks when prescribing new medications.

Adding a client allergy to ePrescribe

On the clinical tab of the client profile, select “manage allergies.”

In ScriptSure’s search bar, search for the client’s allergy. Select the allergy and indicate the reaction, severity and hit “save.” The allergy will now appear in the ScriptSure and Boulevard client profile

Adding a client’s current medications to ePrescribe

On the clinical tab of the client profile, select “manage medications.”

In ScriptSure, select “Prescribe medication” and search for the client’s current medication.

Select the medication and then instead of entering the format like you would for a typical prescription, select "Set as current medication."

Add as much detail as you feel necessary. If a client routinely takes this medication, select “chronic,” otherwise indicate the expiration date so ScriptSure no longer considers this drug interaction after that date.
