Gratuity Only Orders

Learn how to process an individual transaction for staff member gratuity.

Overview

When a client wants to tip a service provider after the original payment is closed, you'll need to process a gratuity only order. This creates a separate transaction for the tip and keeps payout data accurate for staff.

Gratuity only orders are created in the Sales tab at the specific location, and are not tied to any appointments or services. Use them for standalone tip transactions or when clients want to add additional tips after checkout.

Creating a Gratuity Only Order

  1. At the location level, click Sales > Orders > New Sale.


  2. Search for the client's name or add them as a new client.


  3. Click Add Gratuity.

  4. Assign the correct Staff Member.


  5. Enter the gratuity total, and then process the payment to complete the transaction.

    Gratuities are tracked and recorded per staff member in the Tip Commission Summary.
