This Payments & Merchant Activity overview gives you a high-level view of how payments flow through your business. Located in the Payments tab, this page is designed to help you quickly understand where your money is, get visibility into your payment processing fees, see when payouts are scheduled, review what activity has recently occurred, connect bank accounts, and view disputes. Think of it as your go-to starting point for all things payment processing.
To access your Payments tab, locate Manage Business or Manage Location > Payments > choose your merchant account.
Note: Independent Contractors or staff with their own merchant accounts can access this page from My Settings > Merchant (via the profile icon).
Overview Page
This is your overview page. It shows available funds, your most recent payouts, and your most recent transactions. From here you can:
Process an instant payout — the Instant Payout card shows your available funds and a Payout Now button, so you can access funds within minutes when needed.
Review your payout schedule — select Payout Schedule from the Payouts card to see your configured timing for each day of the week, including your close-of-day cutoff and estimated deposit date.
Boulevard offers three payout speeds: the two-business-day default, Same-Day Payouts at 0.95%, and Instant Payouts at 1.75%. To compare them and learn how to switch, see Payouts, Fees, & Merchant Activity.
Payouts Tab
The Payouts tab has your Instant Payout card and your Next Payout amount. Below those, the payouts table lists every payout:
Column | What it shows |
Date | Payout descriptor |
Type | Standard (2 business days), Same Day, or Instant. |
Status | Scheduled, Sent, Returned, or Failed. |
Payout amount | The total amount transferred in this payout. |
Account | The linked bank account this payout was deposited into. |
Payout descriptor | An identifier tied to your merchant account/location that appears on every payout — useful for matching a bank deposit back to the correct account, especially if you have multiple locations or merchant accounts sharing a bank account. |
Select any payout to see its Payout Summary, Transfer Details, and the transactions behind it. To tie a deposit back to those transactions, see Understanding Payout Reconciliation Reporting.
Transactions Tab
Every credit card charge, refund, Buy Now, Pay Later payment, adjustment, and payout event, filterable by date and type and exportable from here. Select a transaction to see its charge date, order number, payout date, client, payment method, card brand, and processing fees. With Boulevard Offset on, you’ll also see how the surcharge applied to that sale.
A transaction marked In Review is temporarily set aside. No action is needed, and we’ll reach out if we need anything. See Reconciliation Reporting for how this affects payouts.
Daily & Monthly Activity Reports
Download CSV reports of charges, refunds, and fees for a single day or a full month. These are best for reviewing a period. To explain why a specific deposit landed at a specific amount, use Payout Reconciliation Reporting.
For the full walkthrough, see Payouts, Fees, & Merchant Activity.
Account Info Tab
Before you can process payments and receive payouts through Boulevard, you'll need to set up a merchant account. The Account Info tab allows you to set up your account, view your current banking details, and find your payout descriptor. If updates to your banking information are needed, select Update Account.
Set up your merchant account, view your banking details, and find your payout descriptor. If your banking details change, select Update Account.
The payout descriptor is included in the deposit description when Boulevard sends a payout to your bank. If you have several locations or accounts, it tells you which merchant account a deposit came from.
For submitting or updating merchant details, see Submitting Merchant Details.
Payment Methods Tab
See which payment methods your business accepts: currently Card and Buy Now, Pay Later. This tab doesn’t report by payment method. For that, use the Transactions tab. Think of this as your payments configuration page.
Disputes Tab
View new, pending, and resolved client disputes with case number, order number, date, client, amount, and status. Select a case to see the reason, respond, and upload supporting documents. For chargeback reasons and best practices, see the Dispute Resolution Center.
