How to enable and view client appointment ratings/reviews

Overview

Boulevard proudly offers a post-appointment reviews feature, which allows clients to rate their appointments and submit written feedback. The business can then view and manage submitted reviews directly within the Boulevard Dashboard. Once enabled, customers will submit ratings and feedback through their receipt email, or through an email or text review request.

Review Requests

Review requests automate and streamline post-appointment feedback collection, reaching clients via email and/or text after their service. Once you've enabled review requests, we'll send clients an email and/or text after checkout, prompting them to provide feedback. You'll be notified via email when new reviews come in.

Setting up review requests:

  1. Go to Manage Location > Client Notifications > Review request

2. Turn on email, text, or both. Note: A dedicated phone number is required to send texts. Text usage rates apply. Review request emails are free.

3. Choose when you'd like the review request to be sent. By default, we'll send it 1hour after the appointment checkout. You can send up to 1 week after checkout.

Client-facing review request flow

If your location has email review requests turned on, clients will get this email after their appointment checkout.

If you have text review requests turned on, clients will get this text after their appointment checkout.

Once the client clicks into the email rating flow or clicks the link in the text, they're redirected to the rating webpage where they can leave additional written feedback.

For reviews rated 3 stars or less, clients will not be prompted to share their reviews to other platforms. For reviews rated 4 or 5 stars, clients will be prompted to share their reviews to Google, Yelp, or Facebook.

Reviews Page

You can manage reviews within the Reviews page in your Boulevard dashboard. Here, you can filter reviews and also set up internal notifications when new reviews come in.

Viewing Reviews

Head to Manage Location>Reviews to view client ratings and reviews. The newest reviews will appear at the top. Each review will show the client's name, the date on which the review was submitted, the service received, and the service provider.

Filtering Reviews

To filter your view on the Reviews page, click Filters at the top right. You can filter reviews by service, provider, or star rating.

Internal notifications for Reviews

You can be notified when new reviews come in, to stay on top of incoming feedback in real-time. To set up internal review notifications, click Settings in the top right of the Reviews page.

Once toggled on, notifications of new reviews will be sent to your location's email. Determine the threshold at which notifications should be sent. For example, select "3 and below" if you'd like to receive an email each time clients submit a review with a 3-star rating or less.

When a new review comes in, you'll get an email similar to the below.

Enabling Reviews in Email Receipts

In addition to review requests, you can also prompt clients to submit reviews through the email receipt they receive after checkout. This is optional and depends on your preferences for when and how you'd like to prompt clients for feedback.

To prompt clients for a review within each email receipt:

  1. Click Manage > Location > Client Notifications

  2. Check the box next to "Allow clients to rate their completed appointments".
