AI Receptionist Beta Pricing

Pricing, billing, and promotional rates for the AI Receptionist Beta.

Written by Julia Egan

AI Receptionist answers your inbound calls automatically, so clients can get answers and book, reschedule, or cancel appointments without waiting for a staff member to pick up.

When a client asks to book or reschedule, AI Receptionist can also text them a link to self-booking or the client portal, keeping your front desk moving even when no one's available to take the call. The AI Receptionist Beta is available for any location with a dedicated Boulevard phone number.

AI Receptionist is currently in beta. It's gradually rolling out to be available for all customers to turn on if they like. We're still testing and improving it, so its behavior may change as we learn from real-world use. Try it out and share your feedback.

Promotional pricing - August & September 2026

All AI Receptionist usage in August and September 2026 is free. That includes minutes and the text messages AI Receptionist sends. We want you to be able to try AI Receptionist and see what it can do with no hesitation, so dive in and explore.

Pricing & Billing

After the promotional period, billing works like this:

  • First 200 minutes: $125 per month, per location

  • Additional minutes: $0.60 per minute

  • Text messages: Billed at standard two-way texting rates

The $125 covers your first 200 minutes of AI Receptionist usage each month. Every minute beyond 200 is billed at $0.60. AI Receptionist mainly interacts using her voice, but in some cases she can text a client a self-booking or client portal link. Those messages are billed as standard text segments — the same way they would be if a staff member were texting the client directly. See Text and Marketing Usage Rates for text segment pricing.

AI Receptionist is billed per location and only in months you use it. If AI Receptionist handles no calls at a location during a calendar month, there's no charge for that location that month.

Pricing FAQs

What counts as a minute?

Minutes reflect the time AI Receptionist spends handling your inbound calls. The first 200 minutes across a location each calendar month are covered by the $125; anything beyond that is billed at $0.60 per minute.

Is the $125 charged if I don't use AI Receptionist in a given month?

No. The $125 is only charged in months where AI Receptionist handles at least one call at that location. If a location doesn't use AI Receptionist during a calendar month, that location isn't charged for it that month.

How do I know how many minutes I’ve used in a month?

You can check the usage minutes on the AI Receptionist call log in Messages or on the AI Receptionist settings page under Manage Location.

Will 200 minutes be enough?

That depends on your inbound call volume. Most locations who use AI Receptionist do not go over the 200-minute mark. You won’t experience any disruption if you go over 200 minutes, but you will receive warnings as you approach that number in case you want to make changes to your settings to reduce usage.

Will I get warnings when I reach the 200-minute mark?

Yes, when you approach 75% and 90% of usage, you’ll also notifications so you can adjust your setup if you would prefer not to go over the allotted minutes.

How do I reduce how many minutes AI Receptionist uses?

To reduce how much time AI Receptionist is on the phone each month, you could adjust your settings to only answer calls after-hours, or switch to taking a message instead of transferring. See the setup guide for more details

How many text messages does AI Receptionist send?

AI Receptionist sends at most one text message per call received. AI Receptionist sends a link if a client wants to book an appointment or manage an existing appointment. Those texts are a single text segment.

How are the text messages billed?

When AI Receptionist texts a client a self-booking or client portal link, those messages count toward your text usage the same as any two-way text. They're billed by text segment at your standard rates. See Text and Marketing Usage Rates for details on segments and tiers. You can see how many messages AI receptionist sent in your Messages usage.

Do my 200 minutes roll over?

No. Your 200 included minutes reset at the start of each calendar month. Unused minutes don't carry forward.

Are the rates prorated if I start partway through a month?

No. The $125 covers your first 200 minutes of usage in a calendar month and is not prorated. If you enable AI Receptionist partway through a month, your first 200 minutes that month are still covered by the $125.

Will I receive a separate bill for AI Receptionist?

If you currently receive a single bill on the first of every month, AI Receptionist will be included in that bill. If you receive a separate usage bill at the end of the month, AI Receptionist will appear on that bill.

Which location is billed?

AI Receptionist is billed to the location whose Boulevard phone number received the call. If you run multiple locations with their own Boulevard phone numbers, each location is billed for its own AI Receptionist usage.

What happens after the promotional period?

Standard AI Receptionist pricing applies to usage after September 2026. You don't need to do anything for the promotion to end — regular rates simply resume.
