Overview

As required by law, Boulevard issues annual 1099-K forms in January to merchant accounts that processed at least $20,000 and 200 transactions in the previous fiscal year. Each merchant is responsible for remitting their own taxes. See our Merchant Account FAQ for more information on the different types of merchant accounts.

Q: How are 1099-Ks delivered?

All 1099-Ks are physically mailed to the address we have on file for your merchant account. If you’re an independent contractor or have a secondary merchant account, your 1099-K will be mailed to the address that you used when applying for that account. If your address has changed since that registration, please contact Boulevard Support immediately so that we can update that address on file.

For businesses with multiple locations, each location will receive its own 1099-K.

Q: When will I get my 1099-K?

1099-K forms are postmarked by January 31 and should be delivered within 5-7 business days. If you still have not received your 1099-K by February 15, please contact Boulevard Support using the email address associated with your merchant account and we will attempt to generate a digital copy.

Q: Why did I not receive a 1099-K?

You will only receive a 1099-K if your specific merchant account processed more than $20,000 in payments and 200 transactions within the previous calendar year. If you did not receive this form but believe you have processed more than this threshold, please contact Boulevard Support via Help Chat or by emailing support@blvd.co.

Q: What should I do if there is incorrect information on my 1099-K?

Reach out to Boulevard Support via Help Chat or by emailing support@blvd.co, who will get you in touch with our Payment Operations team. Please do not include any sensitive information such as your Taxpayer Identification Number in your initial request. Our Payment Operations team may require additional documentation such as your IRS form SS-4, at which point we will provide you a secure link to submit those documents.

Q: What should I do if my 1099-K was mailed to the wrong address?

If you believe your 1099-K was mailed to the wrong address, please contact Boulevard Support immediately so that we can update your address on file for the merchant account. If you contact us via the email address associated with your merchant account, we can attempt to generate a digital copy so that you can proceed with filing your taxes.
