We surface Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) messaging throughout your clients' booking flow and checkout experience for eligible purchases, helping build awareness that your business offers these flexible payment options. To help you extend that awareness, we've put together digital assets and copy you can use across your own channels to promote BNPL directly to your clients.
These are suggested starting points. You're responsible for what you send to your clients, including following Affirm's and Klarna's current guidelines and applicable law.
Before you get started
When promoting BNPL, it's important that clients see the legal details behind Affirm and Klarna's short-term installment loans, including costs, fees, and repayment terms.
To make this easy, Boulevard created a client-facing landing page you can share with your BNPL marketing. The page explains the value of flexible payment options, and links clients to sign up with Affirm and Klarna.
Affirm and Klarna are independent providers, and any payment plan is an agreement between your client and that provider. Boulevard is not a lender, does not extend credit, make approval decisions, or set financing terms.
Before you send
If you make any changes to the promotional copy below, please refer to Affirm and Klarna’s individual marketing guidelines to ensure you’re staying compliant.
Text messages. Marketing texts require your client's prior express written consent. Make sure you have it before sending.
Email. Marketing emails need a working unsubscribe link, a current physical mailing address, an accurate sender name, and a subject line that reflects the content.
Minimum order value. BNPL is only available on orders that meet the minimum you have set, which defaults to $50. If your copy invites clients to check their options, consider noting your minimum so clients with smaller orders are not surprised.
Included disclaimers are required and can be included in the footer at the bottom of your email.
Text messages and push notifications require Affirm's individual approval before use. Contact your Boulevard team before sending BNPL text campaigns.
Medical and elective medical services. If you offer treatments in a medical or licensed setting, additional provider requirements and state law restrictions may apply to how you present financing. Confirm your own requirements first.
