Referral Performance Report |
Overview
The Referral Performance report helps you find out which referral sources are actually driving business. It shows client counts, appointment activity, and sales contribution broken down by referral source, so you can see which channels bring in the most clients, bookings, and revenue.
Use this report to track how each acquisition channel performs over time, evaluate the sales contribution tied to each referral source, and identify which clients belong to a given source to assess their individual value. It's useful for guiding marketing spend and promotional decisions, since you can compare channels to see which justify further investment and which underperform — and use the report to catch clients with missing or inconsistent referral source data.

Report Caveats
There are a few important caveats and limitations to be aware of when using this report. Use these details to better understand how the data behaves and how to interpret it correctly.
Caveats | Details and Impact |
Date filter behavior has changed.
| In the previous version of this report, the date picker filtered by order date. In the latest version, the date picker now filters by the client's referral date instead. As a result, applying a date range will surface referrals that occurred in that window — not orders that happened in that window — so counts filtered by the same date range will differ from the previous version. |
Metrics are now computed for the referred client's lifetime with the business. | This changed date filter behavior affects how metrics like Order count and Sales are calculated. In the previous version, these metrics were scoped to orders falling within the selected date range. In the latest version, since the date filter now selects referrals (not orders), these metrics reflect the referred client's entire lifetime with the business — not just activity within the selected date range. Expect totals in the latest version to run higher than the previous version filtered on the same date range, since more lifetime activity is being captured. |
