Overview
Time can be blocked off through the Boulevard Dashboard and also using the app. When time is blocked off, customers will not see why time is blocked; they will only see that the appointment time is unavailable. Reasons for the time block are only ever viewable by the business.
Time-blocking is best used to block out short periods of time during the day. If entire days are to be blocked off, it's recommended to make the entire shift Unavailable using the Schedule. Common uses of time blockers include:
- Work breaks such as lunches, meetings, and personal events
- 'Padding' a shift to reduce appointment availability
- Optimizing a schedule by forcing non-blocked appointment times to be filled first
