Overview

At Boulevard, we’re constantly evolving our platform and technology to better support the businesses we serve. One of the most important ways we do that is by listening directly to customers like you. When you share what you need to stay competitive in your industry, it helps shape how our product grows.

The Ideas Hub is your direct connection to the Boulevard Product team. It’s where you can submit feature ideas and vote on suggestions from other Boulevard businesses. While ideas with votes help highlight demand, we intentionally review all recent submissions to ensure our decision-makers hear your voice. When features are updated or launched, you can track those changes in the Changelog, accessible from the top-right dropdown in your dashboard, to see how your feedback helps shape the future of Boulevard.

Why Submit a Feature Idea?

Submitting an idea allows you to share feedback that reflects how you actually use Boulevard day to day. It’s an opportunity to influence future product improvements, support innovation across the platform, and help our Product team better understand what matters most to your business. You can also explore ideas submitted by other customers, vote on the ones you’d like to see built, and leave comments explaining your particular use case.

How to Submit an Idea

Submitting a feature idea starts directly from your Boulevard dashboard. From the top-right corner, open the dropdown menu and select Submit an Idea. This will take you to the Boulevard Ideas Hub.

Once there, you can browse ideas submitted by other Boulevard businesses, vote or comment on ideas you support, or submit a new idea of your own. If you choose to create a new idea, you’ll be prompted to add a title, select a category, and provide a short description explaining the problem you’re trying to solve and how the feature would support your business. The more context you provide, the easier it is for our Product team to understand your needs.

Pro Tips for Submitting Ideas to our Product Team

When sharing feedback or feature requests, it’s helpful to focus on the problem you’re trying to solve rather than a specific solution to existing functionality.

We often see requests that are based on making existing functionality or a workaround better. While that makes sense in the moment, it can sometimes point us in the wrong direction long term. The workaround exists because a core need is not fully supported yet, and improving the workaround can actually limit our ability to solve the real problem.

Example:

Some businesses use account credits as a workaround to collect deposits at booking. This allows them to collect money upfront, but account credits are not designed to function like deposits. They do not automatically apply to a specific appointment or service.

We sometimes receive requests to change account credits so they only apply to one service. That behavior already exists with vouchers, and changing account credits this way would reduce their primary purpose and flexibility.

The real problem here is not how account credits behave. The real need is a better way to collect and apply deposits directly to booked appointments. That is the foundational problem Boulevard should solve.

What Happens After You Submit an Idea?

Every idea submitted through the Ideas Hub is reviewed and organized by the Boulevard Product team. Ideas help inform product discovery, research interviews, and roadmap discussions. In some cases, the team may follow up to gather additional context or invite you to participate in research conversations.

While not every idea is built immediately, all feedback contributes to how we prioritize and plan future improvements. The status shown in the Ideas Hub reflects where an idea stands, such as under review, planned, or in progress.

FAQ

Do I need to submit an idea to vote on one?

No. You can vote on existing ideas at any time without submitting a new one.

Does voting guarantee a feature will be built?

Votes help signal customer interest, but feature decisions also consider feasibility, impact, and overall product strategy.

Can I see what Boulevard is currently working on?

Yes. Some ideas in the Ideas Hub display statuses like Planned or In Progress, offering visibility into what’s coming.

Will someone follow up with me about my idea?

In some cases, the Product team may reach out if additional insight or feedback would be helpful. When a feature is released, the team will close the corresponding request in UV and notify all voters via email that the feature is now available.
