Staff Retail Sales Report

Written by Marie London

We're excited to bring you an expanded reporting experience. If you don't see the reporting features described below, don't worry—this updated reporting experience will become available to your account over time.

Overview

The Staff Retail Sales report helps you see how each team member is contributing to retail sales. It breaks down units sold, gross and net sales, discounts, and refunds by staff member, so you can identify top performers, monitor discount behavior, and support retail coaching.

Use this report to track individual retail performance across categories, brands, and locations, identify staff with high refund rates that may signal quality or fit issues, and evaluate each staff member's retail-to-service ratio to understand upsell effectiveness. It's especially useful for benchmarking teams across locations and roles, since you can compare retail client counts against service client counts to spot cross-sell opportunities and training needs.

Note: Only sales with a staff member attributed appear in this report — retail sales rung up without staff attribution aren't included anywhere here, so totals will run lower than overall retail sales in other reports.

Report Caveats

There are a few important caveats and limitations to be aware of when using this report. Use these details to better understand how the data behaves and how to interpret it correctly.

Caveats

Details and Impact

Only staff-attributed sales appear

This report counts retail sales with a staff member assigned. Product sales rung up without staff attribution do not appear anywhere in this report, so its total will be lower than overall retail sales in other reports.

Retail means true retail products only

The previous version of this report counted packages and memberships under product sales. This new version counts only Item Type = Product. Expect lower figures for the same period; the difference is packages and memberships now reported in their own reports.

Refunded items are not counted toward quantity sold

Retail Product Quantity Sold excludes refunded items; it reflects units sold, including amendment adjustments, with refunds removed. Previous versions of this report included refunds in product counts, so this figure will read lower than for the same period. Refund activity is shown separately in Retail refund amount and Retail Refunds Count.
